An original digital illustration turned to print about becoming, shifting, shedding, and growing through whatever season you happen to be in.

This piece was inspired by my own seasons of growth, especially the quieter, darker ones.

There have been periods of my life that felt like very little was happening on the surface, when really I was setting deeper roots into who I am. Learning myself. Letting old versions fall away. Becoming more comfortable with change, stillness, and the parts of growth that don’t always look beautiful while you’re inside them.

Fall always feels like a reminder of that.

The dark can feel intimidating. Change can feel like loss. But there’s also something incredibly hopeful about surrendering to a season instead of fighting it — letting things shift, trusting what’s taking root underneath, and allowing yourself to become whatever comes next.

The seasons change and so do I.

Not as something sad, but as something freeing.

‘Deep End’ started as a water study. I had no real plan for it, but somewhere along the way this octopus showed up looking exhausted and smoking a cigarette at the bottom of everything.

It feels like the kind of smoke break you take when you’ve officially hit rock bottom. Tired, a little numb, and aware that something is probably watching. It’s unsettling and bizarre, but there’s something funny and strangely relatable about it too.

I AM CONNECTED feels a little like putting my brain directly onto a canvas.

It’s full of contradictions. Dark and light, chaotic and calm, messy and strangely connected. There are eyes everywhere, observing and taking things in. Layers overlap, patterns interrupt each other, objects emerge from the canvas, and somehow all of these seemingly unrelated pieces find a way to belong together.

I started this painting with no sketch, no plan, and no idea what it would become. I just followed it. One mark led to another, one object asked for something else, and I kept going until the chaos started making sense.

There’s a lot happening. Sometimes too much. Sometimes it gets messy. But step back far enough and it’s pretty beautiful overall.

A little bit like being alive.

“Watercolor Ways” is a playful exploration of color and imagination. Created by wetting the canvas, dropping in pigments, and letting them flow freely, the piece captures the magic of spontaneity. Shapes emerged naturally from the movement of water and paint, later outlined to bring hidden forms to life. Funky, vibrant, and full of joy, this painting celebrates the beauty of simply creating for fun and seeing where the colors lead.

‘I Almost Remembered’ is about the brief moments when you can see beyond where you are now. When you’re struggling, but something beautiful shifts your perspective and reminds you what happiness, ease and good days once felt like and that you’ll find your way back to them again.

This piece began years ago as a painting of a nude female figure. After sitting quietly in my home, waiting to become something else, I gave it another life through layers of watercolor, acrylic, ink and found buttons. Parts of the original figure remain beneath the new work, much like the parts of ourselves that never truly disappear.

‘I Was Here the Whole Time’ is about the journey of coming back to yourself. After searching outwardly for validation, comfort or some version of happiness that was inside you all along. Sometimes finding yourself is really a return to who you were before the world told you who to be.

The painting is layered, imperfect and a little chaotic, with organic movement and dimensional elements growing beyond the canvas. It feels dirty and delicate, unsettling and beautiful at once. Much like the process of finding your way home to yourself.

I started this piece without a plan and let it slowly become whatever it wanted to be. Somewhere along the way, this painting became about womanhood. Being in your own body and finding your way back to the parts of yourself that were always there. The parts we’ve been taught to quiet down, question, make smaller, or hand over to someone else.

She remembered. She is holy.

Not holy in a religious way, but in realizing she never needed to look outside of herself for it in the first place. So much of being a woman can feel like being told who to be. Smaller, quieter, obedient, beautiful in the right way, whatever makes everyone else comfortable. Always looking outward for permission or some answer about who you’re supposed to be.

And then she remembers she is the source. The magic, beauty, power, softness, weirdness, all of it was already hers. She doesn’t need to become what anyone else wants her to be. She gets to just be her.

She Grew Here where the light was scarce, the seasons were long, and the forest taught her how to thrive anyway. This print is a reflection on the quiet strength of growing where you’re rooted. Returning to nature, finding yourself, and becoming because of it.
